Elizabeth Pedinotti Haynes is an artist working across photography, collage, sculpture, moving image, and writing. Beginning with the materials, images, and interruptions of domestic life, her work examines memory, motherhood, gendered aging, ecological anxiety, and the inherited stories that shape our ideas about family, care, and the ways a life should be lived.

Working with staged photographs, domestic interventions, collage, and images of her own body, Haynes continually cuts apart, rephotographs, animates, and reassembles her images. Moving between humor, tenderness, anxiety, and absurdity, her work explores the instability of images and memory, and the possibilities of play and imagination as ways of thinking beyond inherited structures.

Haynes lives and works in Upstate New York. Her first monograph is forthcoming from Saint Lucy Books.
